Physical Requirements:
- The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient stock handling, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience supervising warehouse teams and managing high volume, fast moving inventory.
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Assign tasks and monitor the performance of warehouse assistants, loaders, and forklift operators.
- Ensure proper stock arrangement and adherence to warehouse layout/space utilization plans.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO principles for all FMCG products.
- Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support in monthly stock reconciliation and variance investigation.
- Ensure timely posting of stock movements into ERP/WMS systems.
- Maintain accurate records of goods received, transferred, and dispatched.
- Coordinate and verify picking lists, packing lists, and loading activities.
- Ensure orders are processed correctly and dispatched within agreed timelines.
- Prepare delivery notes, waybills, and other supporting documents.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols, hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of FMCG products to prevent contamination or damage.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, weighing scales).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on operational standards and safety practices.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and efficiency of warehouse personnel.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Generate daily stock movement reports and operational summaries.
- Report stock variances, damages, shortages, and operational challenges to the Warehouse Manager.
- Provide suggestions to improve operational efficiency.
- OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5 years practical experience in FMCG warehouse operations, with at least 3years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes and FMCG stock management.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Sage).
- Strong Excel and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Interested candidate must reside within Ibadan for effective operational support and availability.
