Careersome is built by Wik Immersive, a company registered in Nigeria, by a team that has watched African businesses try to run people operations on tools designed for US and European companies, and fail in predictable ways. We built the platform we wanted to exist.

Our mission

Give every business across Africa, from a 10-person startup in Accra to a 3,000-person enterprise in Lagos, the workforce intelligence and HR infrastructure that was previously only available to companies with the budget for global enterprise software.

Our story

Careersome started as a job board helping Nigerian students and graduates find their first roles. Over time, we kept hearing the same problems from the other side of the table: companies drowning in CV emails, running performance reviews in Google Docs, tracking leave on WhatsApp. The tooling available was either built for Silicon Valley or too expensive to justify for a 50-person team in Nairobi.

In 2024, we rebuilt Careersome from the ground up as a full workforce intelligence platform: one system that connects every stage of the employee lifecycle, built specifically for the operational reality of African businesses. We've been covered by TechCabal and Nairametrics, earned SOC 2 Type I certification, and are now used by companies across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Egypt, Uganda, and beyond.

We're still early. But we're building something that matters here.
