By accessing or using Careersome, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Careersome.
1. The service
Careersome is a web-based people platform for organizations and their users. It may include recruitment, performance, engagement, onboarding, time off, activity and timesheets, compensation, analytics, and related features, depending on your plan.
2. Intellectual property
Except for content you or your organization own (for example employee and company records you enter), Careersome and its licensors own the platform, branding, and materials we provide.
- •You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use Careersome for your organization's internal people and hiring workflows, subject to your plan and these Terms.
- •You must not republish, sell, rent, or sublicense Careersome materials.
- •You must not copy Careersome for commercial purposes without our permission.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- •Use Careersome only for lawful purposes
- •Provide accurate account and company information
- •Keep login credentials secure and not share accounts improperly
- •Not harm others, spam, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- •Comply with employment and data protection laws that apply to your use of the platform
4. Organization accounts and administrators
If you create or administer a company workspace, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. Administrators control who has access and how roles are assigned. Your organization is responsible for how it uses Careersome and for the data it stores.
5. Job postings and applications
Where Careersome is used to post roles or collect applications, the hiring organization is responsible for the accuracy of postings and for hiring decisions. Careersome is not a party to employment decisions and is not liable for outcomes of applications or interviews.
- •Company accounts should use a valid company email and accurate company details
- •Job postings must comply with applicable labor laws and Careersome standards
- •Misleading or unlawful postings may be removed and may lead to suspension or termination of access
6. Accounts and deletion
You may create an account with email and password or supported sign-in methods such as Google. You may request deletion of your account. Where available in the product, use account or profile settings. You may also email [email protected] from your registered address. We will process requests within a reasonable time, retaining only data we must keep for legal reasons. If you use Careersome through an employer, some data is controlled by your organization and may need to be handled by them.
7. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Careersome and its officers, directors, and employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Careersome, including hiring outcomes, employment decisions, or reliance on reports or narratives generated in the product.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Careersome against claims, costs, and damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the platform, including content you or your organization upload.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts in Nigeria have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on our website and update the date above. Significant changes may also be communicated in the product or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
