Welcome to Careersome 2.0. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our mobile application and services.

1. Introduction

By accessing or using our mobile app, you agree to accept these Terms and Services. Do not continue to use Careersome 2.0 if you do not agree to all the terms and conditions stated herein.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own (e.g., your profile data), Careersome 2.0 and/or its licensors own all intellectual property rights and materials contained in this app.

  • You are granted a limited, non-transferable license only for purposes of using the app for job-seeking or recruiting activities.
  • You must not republish material from Careersome 2.0.
  • You must not sell, rent, or sub-license material from Careersome 2.0.
  • You must not reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from Careersome 2.0 for commercial purposes without permission.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of our app, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the following:

  • You will use the app only for lawful purposes, such as applying for jobs or posting legitimate job listings.
  • You will not use the app to harm or attempt to harm others, including minors, in any way.
  • You will not use the app to send unsolicited advertising or promotional material (e.g., spam).
  • You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Careersome 2.0, nor any of its officers, directors, or employees, be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or connected with your use of this app, including job application outcomes or recruiter interactions.

5. Indemnification

You hereby indemnify to the fullest extent Careersome 2.0 from and against any and all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the app.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of [Insert State/Country, e.g., 'California, USA'], and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in [Insert State/Country] for the resolution of any disputes.

7. Account Creation and Deletion

Users may create an account using an email and password or Google Sign-In. You have the right to delete your Careersome 2.0 account at any time. To delete your account:

  • Go to your Profile Page within the app.
  • Select the 'Delete Account' option.
  • Confirm the deletion. This will permanently delete your account and associated data (e.g., name, email, job preferences, skills) from our active systems.

Alternatively, if you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with your registered email to request deletion. We will process your request within 30 days, retaining only data required for legal or regulatory purposes. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. Careersome 2.0 reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

8. Data Privacy and Retention

For information on how we collect, use, and manage your personal data, refer to our Privacy Policy (effective April 8, 2025). We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.

9. Recruiter-Specific Terms

Recruiters using Careersome 2.0 must:

  • Use a valid company email and provide accurate company details during sign-up.
  • Submit to verification of their identity and company legitimacy.

10. Recruiter Account Approval and Responsibilities

All recruiter accounts are subject to approval by Careersome 2.0. Approved recruiters may create job postings, provided they:

  • Ensure postings comply with local labor laws and Careersome 2.0 standards.
  • Provide accurate job descriptions and details.
  • Understand that misleading or illegal postings may result in removal and account suspension or termination.

Careersome 2.0 reserves the right to deny or revoke recruiter access if these standards are not met.

11. Use of Job Postings

Job postings are the sole responsibility of the recruiter. Careersome 2.0 is not liable for their accuracy or outcomes and acts only as a platform to connect job seekers and recruiters.

12. Amendments

Careersome 2.0 reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
