Typical Qualifications
Sector-Specific Duties:
- Change Management: Reviewing, approving, and analyzing the impact of variations (change orders) and contracts.
- Process Improvement: Evaluating and improving cost-saving measures to enhance profitability.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing project budgets and providing accurate, timely financial projections to guide decision-making.
- Cost Monitoring & Control: Tracking expenses, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to prevent overruns.
- Reporting: Preparing weekly/monthly cost reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), and updating stakeholders on financial status.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Construction / Engineering: Managing project milestones, subcontractor payments, and material costs.
- Hospitality / F&B: Monitoring inventory, food/beverage costs, and daily stock movements.
