- We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and optimise the day-to-day HR operations function, acting as the operational engine room for HR.
- You will own full 360 HR lifecycle delivery across West Africa, from inbox and query management to HR systems and data, onboarding, organisational and job changes, visa/immigration, and core HR processes.
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes and building HR operations that genuinely enable the business to move faster.
- The role offers broad exposure across West Africa, with clear scope to build and shape the HR operations function and expand the role as the business grows.
- Own the full 360 HR lifecycle across global offices, from HR inbox and queries through to onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
- As HR system owner, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance, and producing clear HR reporting for the business.
- Maintain and streamline core HR processes and documentation (contracts, job titles, letters) so everything runs smoothly and consistently.
- Partner with teams and managers to deliver a seamless, joined-up employee experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Run an effective onboarding process from offer to successful integration, ready to welcome a high volume of new joiners.
- Continuously improve onboarding and HR processes so the business is set up for its next phase of growth.
- Manage all visa and right-to-work processes, documentation, and renewals, acting as the internal point of contact for immigration queries.
- Administer promotions, relocations, internal moves, and line manager changes, ensuring they are accurately reflected in systems, contracts, and organisation documentation.
- Review and refine HR processes to make them simple, efficient, and scalable.
- Support the opening of new locations, coordinating HR processes, documentation and systems readiness with local advisers where needed.
- Support managers on day-to-day ER issues (sickness, performance, probation, informal concerns) with pragmatic, legally sound advice.
- Build strong, easy-to-work-with relationships across Tetra Maritime, and act as a trusted, calm HR contact.
- Proven experience in HR operations, ideally with global scope, with ownership of HR systems and end-to-end HR processes.
- Strong HR generalist background across the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
- Confident handling of sensitive ER cases, knowing when to escalate
- Highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing multiple workflows and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder skills and discretion with confidential information.
- Calm, low-ego and easy to work with, even in a demanding, high-growth environment.
- Self-managing, highly proactive and comfortable running HR operations end to end without hand-holding.
- Collaborative, solutions-focused, with clear, tidy, and concise communication.
