About the role

  • Weekly/Monthly Liquidity report:
  • Generate weekly and monthly liquidity reports to assess the availability of funds for investment activities.
  • Ensures funding of NIP -Zenith settlement and regularizes before COB.
  • Monthly Analysis of Deposit Maturities:
  • Conduct a monthly analysis of deposit maturities to track the timing and amount of deposits reaching maturity.
  • Evaluate the impact of maturing deposits on cash inflows and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with wealth managers to ensure timely renewal or rollover of maturing deposits.
  • Weekly/Monthly Deposit Schedule Reconciliation:
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of deposit schedules with bank statements, deposit schedules and NetSuite records.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies or irregularities in deposit transactions.
  • Liaise with banking partners and internal stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues and ensure accuracy of deposit records.
  • The reconciliation report for a month needs to be made ready on the 1st business day of the following month.
  • Monthly Computation of Withholding Tax (WHT) on Bank Interest:
  • Calculate withholding tax (WHT) on bank interest remittances in accordance with regulatory requirements and tax laws.
  • Validate interest income data from bank statements and reconcile with Netsuite records.
  • Prepare accurate WHT computations and ensure timely remittance to tax authorities.
  • Wealth Management OKRs:
  • Ensure liquidations and all payments are treated timely and processed error free. Liquidation requests received before 12pm must be treated latest 12:30pm and those after 12pm, must be treated latest 4pm. Ensure follow-ups on every transaction till it's closed.
  • Ensure every booking instruction received is treated within 24hrs.
  • Respond to, and acknowledge inquries within 25mins of receipt.
  • Escalate issues surrounding Liquidations, Bookings etc. and being proactive to resolve such issues raised by either customers, RMs or finance.
  • Timely collation and submission of reports as requested. This includes incentives, and maturity reports.
  • Effective communication with team members and other department.
  • Collaborates with others in the wealth management team and across the organization, offering assistance and actively being helpful where needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in accounting or numerate discipline Degree; studying towards obtaining a chartered accountant.
  • Experienced in financial institution, especially Fintech (ie large base of transactions), would be an advantage.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to details and Good analytical skills.
  • Aptitude for numbers and attention to details.
  • Have a good Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Be an effective team player with a positive attitude.
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better.

Key Responsibilities Research, Market Intelligence & Knowledge Management: Conduct sector and policy research across priority industries (e.g., agriculture, energy, infrastructure, creative economy, healthcare, manufacturing). Profile investors, DFIs, funds, corporates, and development partners, mapping mandates, instruments, ticket sizes, and recent transactions. Track macroeconomic, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to investment promotion and blended finance in Nigeria and partner countries. Maintain knowledge repositories including investor databases, pipeline trackers, sector briefs, and document libraries. Prepare concise research notes, slide decks, and talking points for meetings, pitches, and workshops. Pipeline Development & Project Preparation: Support the identification, screening, and classification of project/SME pipelines using agreed criteria. Gather and organize data from project sponsors/SMEs (financials, business model, impact metrics, governance, legal structure). Contribute to project proposals, investment summaries, presentations, and reports in line with best practice. Assist in risk assessment using structured frameworks (financial analysis, value chain mapping, risk registers). Support development and updating of project opportunity matrices. Investor, Donor & Partner Engagement Support: Prepare briefing packs and profiles ahead of meetings, roadshows, and workshops. Draft high-quality correspondence, follow-up notes, and meeting summaries for the Lead and senior management. Track action points from engagements with DFIs, donors, banks, corporates, and government agencies, ensuring follow-through. Support planning of investment promotion events, roundtables, webinars, and roadshows (logistics, invite lists, materials, pre-reads, follow-up). Maintain a CRM-style log of investor and partner interactions aligned to each pipeline. Analytics, Modelling & Reporting: Assist with basic financial analysis and modelling (revenue projections, simple cash flows, sensitivity scenarios under guidance). Collate and validate data for KPI tracking, dashboards, and reports to clients and internal management. Prepare structured monthly progress reports covering pipeline status, deal stages, capital mobilised/in discussion, partnership updates, and key insights. Process, Systems & Coordination: Translate annual/quarterly work plans into weekly task lists and tracking sheets alongside the Investment Promotion Lead. Coordinate inputs from internal and external stakeholders to meet documentation and reporting deadlines. Ensure proper document version control, naming standards, and secure storage. Profile Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, Agriculture, or related fields. Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA Level I, FRM, PPP, FMVA, AFM) is an advantage but not mandatory. Experience 2 - 4 years' experience in at least one of the following: Investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory Development finance/DFI, donor-funded projects, or impact investing Management consulting or policy advisory Investment promotion agency, PPP unit, or related public-private institutions Exposure to projects involving DFIs, donors, VCs, PEs, blended finance instruments, guarantees, or climate/SDG-linked facilities is a strong advantage. Experience working with Nigerian public sector institutions is an added benefit. Skills & Competencies Technical & Analytical: Strong research and analytical capabilities with ability to synthesise complex information into clear outputs. Comfort with numbers, basic financial analysis, and simple financial modelling. Ability to apply frameworks (value chain analysis, risk matrices, stakeholder mapping, SDG/ESG alignment). Understanding of investor requirements across DFIs, donors, VCs, PEs, and commercial banks.
