Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant at our facility in Awka, Anambra State.
  • The Accountant will be responsible for all financial related tasks to ensure efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and monitor company expenditures to verify accuracy and alignment with budget policies.
  • Keep detailed records of receipts, invoices, procurement activities, and other financial documentation.
  • Generate expense summaries and submit them for management review.
  • Oversee procurement finances, including purchase requisitions, vendor disbursements, and cost monitoring.
  • Record procurement and expense transactions promptly in the accounting system.
  • Develop processes to track and reconcile daily financial transactions such as balances, payments, and statements.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, while helping management interpret budget variances.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clear and organized internal audit trail.
  • Work closely with external auditors to guarantee timely, standards-compliant audit completion.
  • Provide ongoing financial administration and oversight.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual reports, including financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Liaise with the logistics and warehouse team to confirm and validate required records and information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in accounting or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, and high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, CB, CPA or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
