Recognition, before and after.

How praise works todayBefore

  • Shout-outs disappear in Slack threads and all-hands decks
  • Nobody sees who consistently lifts the team
  • Recognition does not follow people into reviews
  • HR has no signal on culture between annual surveys
  • Managers guess who deserves a raise from memory

How peer praise works on Careersome

Four steps from a great moment to visible culture.

Someone ships, helps, or lifts the room.

01 / 04

Recognition works best in the moment. The Give praise button lives on the dashboard where managers and ICs already start their day.

Culture you can see, not just talk about.

Peer praise with giving points, personal feeds, company values tagging, culture health insights, and leaderboards that scale with your plan.

Give praise from the dashboard

Pick a teammate, write a short note, and send recognition in two clicks. Each praise uses 20 of your monthly giving points.

Tag a company value or send general recognition

Optionally link praise to one of your three company values. When no value fits perfectly, send general recognition and keep the moment moving.

My Praise for everyone

Every employee sees praise they received in one tab. No digging through chat history to remember who said thank you.

Praise on employee profiles

On Basic and above, managers and HR read recognition history on each person's profile during reviews and 1:1s.

Team member praise tab

Managers open a direct report's profile and see every praise they received, with sender and date, before calibration.

Culture Health dashboard story

Admins and managers see a live culture signal on the dashboard: total praises this month, the most recognized person, and the company values in play.

Company values analytics

Each value shows how many times it was cited on the My Praise page. Admins can archive old values and reorder them without breaking existing praise history.

Praise leaderboard

Professional unlocks full rankings with month, quarter, and year filters. Light includes a preview so HR knows recognition is flowing.

Where praise lives

Same employee record as performance and Journeys.

Praise is not a bolt-on rewards vendor. It reads and writes on the same people data as reviews, Stories, and manager workflows.

Questions

Before you book a demo, what people teams ask.

Is peer praise included on Light?

Yes. Everyone can give, receive, and open My Praise. HR sees a leaderboard preview on Light; full rankings unlock on Professional.

How do giving points work?

Each praise costs 20 of your monthly giving points. Points reset each month so recognition stays balanced across the org.

Do I have to tag a company value when giving praise?

No. Tagging a value is optional. When your company has active values it encourages tagging because it builds culture analytics, but you can always send general recognition without choosing one.

What is the Culture Health story?

Admins and managers see a live card on their dashboard showing total praises this month, the most recognized person, and which company values are active. It is a fast culture check without opening a separate report.

What happens to praise when a company value is archived?

Archiving a value removes it from new praise but preserves all existing praise that cited it. The history stays intact so reviews and analytics are not affected.

Can managers see praise on their team?

Yes. On team member profiles, managers get a Praise tab with full received history, useful before reviews and calibration.

What about Basic vs Professional?

Basic adds praise on employee profiles. Professional adds the company-wide leaderboard with month, quarter, and year filters plus full culture analytics.

Send one real praise, this week.

Turn on peer praise for a pilot team. Recognition shows up in My Praise and on profiles. No separate tool to roll out.
