ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of engineering products and solutions across manufacturing companies by identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering technical sales supportThe role focuses on promoting mechanical and electrical engineering solutions to manufacturing and FMCG companies within Agbara, Ota, Atan, and other key locations across Lagos and Ogun States, ensuring revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities within manufacturing and FMCG companies.
  • Promote and sell mechanical and electrical engineering products, equipment, and technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive long-term business growth.
  • Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales while achieving assigned revenue and profitability targets.
  • .Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline reports.
  • Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities to generate new business opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and post-sales support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably within mechanical or electrical engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience selling engineering products or industrial solutions to manufacturing and FMCG companies.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, engineering solutions, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and business development skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
