- The Pre-Sales Technical Product Manager serves as the bridge between customers, sales, product, and engineering teams. The role is responsible for understanding client business and technical requirements, designing solution architectures, developing compelling product demonstrations, managing proof-of-concepts (PoCs), Proof of Value (PoV) and supporting the sales team in positioning technology solutions that address customer challenges.
- The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, product management experience, commercial awareness, and excellent stakeholder management skills to drive successful solution adoption and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting:
- Engage prospective clients to understand business objectives, technical environments, and operational challenges.
- Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering meetings.
- Translate customer requirements into solution designs and technical proposals.
- Develop and deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and executive briefings.
- Lead technical discussions with client stakeholders, including business leaders, architects, and technical teams.
- Support RFP, RFQ, and tender responses with technical and functional content.
- Create solution architecture diagrams and technical design documents.
Product Management & Strategy:
- Act as the product subject matter expert across assigned solutions and platforms.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to influence product strategy.
- Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize enhancements based on customer needs.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and use-case frameworks.
- Support go-to-market initiatives and product launch activities.
Proof of Concept (PoC) Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute customer PoCs and pilot deployments.
- Define PoC success criteria, deliverables, and evaluation metrics.
- Coordinate internal technical resources required for successful PoC execution.
- Monitor performance, gather feedback, and present outcomes to stakeholders.
- Convert successful PoCs into commercial opportunities.
Technical Solution Design:
- Design end-to-end enterprise solutions spanning applications, infrastructure, cloud, security, AI, and integration platforms.
- Produce technical architecture documentation and deployment recommendations.
- Conduct solution sizing, capacity planning, and technical feasibility assessments.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices, security standards, and customer requirements.
- Partner with sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide technical support during customer engagements and negotiations.
- Develop sales collateral, use cases, technical datasheets, and solution briefs.
- Train internal sales teams on product capabilities and competitive differentiators.
- Support account planning and opportunity qualification activities.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, and customer success teams.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and technology partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the solution evaluation process.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field.
- Master's Degree or professional certifications are an added advantage.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in Product Management, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Pre-Sales Engineering.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise technology sales.
- Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, digital transformation, or enterprise software solutions.
