KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist with the installation, assembly, commissioning and testing of new machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
  • Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and recommend effective remedies or design modifications.
  • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and support the Engineering team in restoring equipment to operation.
  • Assist in carrying out maintenance activities quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect equipment and mechanical systems to identify faults and potential maintenance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Maintain proper maintenance and repair records while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years' relevant experience, preferably within FMCG or a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and safety awareness.
