Job Summary

  • We are seeking experienced, result-driven, and highly motivated professionals to join our team as Branch Managers.
  • The successful candidates will be responsible for driving business growth, profitability, operational excellence, and market penetration within their assigned locations.
  • The role requires strategic leadership in promoting inclusive insurance solutions to individuals, SMEs, cooperatives, associations, and underserved communities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • The Branch Manager will lead business development initiatives, manage branch operations, build sustainable distribution channels, and drive customer acquisition, retention, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive branch sales performance to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual premium and policy targets.
  • Develop and execute strategies for customer acquisition, market expansion, and revenue growth.
  • Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with cooperatives, trade associations, aggregators, SMEs, and community groups.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative microinsurance products and solutions tailored to customer needs.

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate branch staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Set performance targets and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate staff capacity-building initiatives.
  • Mentor sales teams, distribution partners, and agents to improve productivity and performance.

Branch Operations & Performance Management:

  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service excellence.
  • Ensure underwriting, policy administration, and claims processes comply with regulatory and company standards.
  • Manage branch budgets, resources, and operational expenses effectively.
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial, operational, and performance reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance branch productivity and customer experience.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints and service-related issues promptly.
  • Implement customer retention and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Promote exceptional service delivery and customer experience across all touchpoints.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with NAICOM regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor underwriting and claims activities within approved authority limits.
  • Ensure adherence to risk management frameworks and internal control procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of corporate governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional insurance certification such as ACIIN, ACII, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Insurance, Micro insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations, underwriting, claims management, and regulatory requirements.
