Creating Onboarding Templates

Templates standardize the new hire experience, and can be used for both pre-onboarding (before day one) and onboarding (after day one), with a seamless handoff between the two.

Creating a template: name it, describe it, and set its category and stage. If you don't want to start from a blank page, an AI-assisted suggestion tool can propose a checklist for you.

Adding tasks: for each task, set the title, description, an owner (Employee, Manager, HR, or Admin), a task type (regular task or Document Upload, which automatically renders a file input), and a due offset in days from the start date.

Real scoping, not just a flat list: tasks can be scoped by country, function, seniority, employment type, or remote status, so one template can automatically adapt itself rather than forcing you to build a separate template for every variation of a hire.

Two organizing views on the same tasks: every task carries a 30/60/90-day milestone bucket (feeding the new hire's own plan view) and a launch bucket, pre-board, compliance, IT, manager, or first week, which feeds HR's operational board. Same data, two different useful views.

Template management: clone a template to create a variation, activate or deactivate it, see usage counts, and bulk-assign it to multiple candidates or employees at once.
