Responsibilities

  • Ensure prompt maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronics, subsea, and information technology equipment on the rig.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager - Performance on a regular basis to discuss rig maintenance and equipment issues, as well as shared planning, expectations, goals and objectives.
  • Act as the focal point for all asset-related issues, ensuring that assets are maintained in accordance with the approved asset maintenance plan and budget.
  • Responsible for the review of plans for critical in-service maintenance and follow-up of execution in order to expedite lateral learning.
  • Make regular visits to the rig to remain aware of the physical condition of the asset and its equipment.
  • Plan all regulatory, class, and flag state surveys to ensure out-of-service time is minimized.
  • Monitor current industry equipment and maintenance technologies.
  • Set and monitor metrics associated with the asset management process with the objective of continuous sustained improvement.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or its equivalent. (Relevant work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education).
  • Valid medical examination.
  • Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the drilling unit and computer skills.
