Ensure prompt maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronics, subsea, and information technology equipment on the rig.
Coordinate with Operations Manager - Performance on a regular basis to discuss rig maintenance and equipment issues, as well as shared planning, expectations, goals and objectives.
Act as the focal point for all asset-related issues, ensuring that assets are maintained in accordance with the approved asset maintenance plan and budget.
Responsible for the review of plans for critical in-service maintenance and follow-up of execution in order to expedite lateral learning.
Make regular visits to the rig to remain aware of the physical condition of the asset and its equipment.
Plan all regulatory, class, and flag state surveys to ensure out-of-service time is minimized.
Monitor current industry equipment and maintenance technologies.
Set and monitor metrics associated with the asset management process with the objective of continuous sustained improvement.
Requirements
A University Degree or its equivalent. (Relevant work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education).
Valid medical examination.
Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the drilling unit and computer skills.
