Job Summary

BioRapid Laboratory is seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory results.
  • Adhere to quality assurance and quality control protocols.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory specimens and reagents.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection prevention standards.
  • Participate in equipment validation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in medical laboratory science (B.MLS).
  • Current practicing license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years post-qualification experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility (experience in diagnostics is an added advantage).
  • Sound knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
  • Ability to operate modern laboratory equipment and diagnostic analyzers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicants must reside within Jabi or Lugbe, including the Carwash, Police Signpost, Aleyita, or Trade More areas.
