BioRapid Laboratory is seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will support laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and analyzing specimens while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, prepare, and process patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Prepare reagents and ensure proper storage of laboratory consumables.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
Observe quality control procedures and laboratory safety guidelines.
Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
Support Medical Laboratory Scientists in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Requirements
Diploma or National Diploma (ND) in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license (where applicable).
1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility.
Good understanding of laboratory procedures, biosafety, and quality assurance practices.
Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment and instruments.
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
