  • The Junior Finance Analyst will support the Finance team in the day-to-day processing and recording of financial transactions, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial schedules, and audit activities.
  • The role is suited to a finance professional with good accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced Finance environment.

What You'll Do

Expense & Payment Processing

  • Review and process expense requests in line with approved policies and procedures.
  • Check expense requests for appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure approved requests are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Follow up with relevant teams on incomplete documentation or outstanding requests.
  • Maintain proper records of processed requests.

Accounting & Transaction Posting

  • Post routine financial transactions into the accounting system accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Ensure transactions are posted to the appropriate GL accounts and cost centres.
  • Support the Finance team in identifying and correcting posting errors.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Prepare regular bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts.
  • Investigate reconciling items and follow up with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure outstanding items are properly documented and tracked to resolution.

Financial Schedules & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain assigned financial schedules and supporting workings.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Provide supporting information for management reports and financial analysis.
  • Assist with reviewing account balances and investigating unusual movements.

Audit Support

  • Provide supporting documents and schedules required for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in responding to routine audit queries.
  • Track outstanding audit requests and follow up with relevant stakeholders where necessary.
  • Ensure audit documentation is properly maintained and easily accessible.

General Finance Support

  • Assist with other accounting and finance activities as required.
  • Support the Finance team in maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Finance processes and procedures.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Good accounting fundamentals.
  • At least 2-4 years' work experience
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced Finance environment.
  • The ability to accurately process and record financial transactions.
  • The ability to prepare bank reconciliations and financial schedules.
