Role Summary

  • We are seeking a diligent Fleet Officer to manage and optimize our vehicle fleet supporting production, distribution, and field operations.
  • The Fleet Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance tracking, and compliance oversight of the Company's vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, properly utilized, and operated in line with Company policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an up-to-date register of all Company vehicles, including documentation, insurance, and licensing status
  • Schedule and track routine vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs
  • Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle usage logs across routes
  • Ensure drivers comply with the Company's Fleet Vehicle Use Policy and relevant traffic regulations
  • Coordinate vehicle allocation for Van Sales Rep, Sales/Merchandizing, and farm operations
  • Investigate and report vehicle incidents, accidents, or policy breaches
  • Liaise with vendors, mechanics, and insurance providers on vehicle-related matters
  • Maintain accurate fleet cost and maintenance records for Management reporting
  • Support driver recruitment, onboarding, and periodic performance checks

Requirements

  • HND/BSc in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in fleet, logistics, or transport management (FMCG/food production industry an advantage)
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance scheduling and fleet documentation
  • Valid driver's license; strong understanding of Nigerian road traffic regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and record-keeping tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travelas required.
