The Activities module is where employees log and review their work activity, and it also surfaces items that need attention. Activity logging is included on Careersome Light. Formal weekly timesheet submit-and-approve is not; that workflow is on Professional and Enterprise.
Logging activity (time tracking) From My Activities, an employee can:
- Record activities with a description, hours, and an optional project they belong to
- Use a timer to start, run, and stop an activity in real time
- Review activity by day and by week, on a calendar, and via an activity heatmap
- See productivity insights generated from the logged data
Weekly activity data (hours, descriptions, and projects) also feeds dashboard summaries and the AI assistant, which is how the assistant can answer "what did I work on this week".
The attention feed Alongside logged activity, the module surfaces items you need to act on: pending and overdue activities pulled together in one place instead of you checking each module separately. You can mark an activity complete or dismiss it if it is no longer relevant.
Team visibility
- Managers get a team view of their direct reports' activities, plus team activity reports and team insights
- Employees see only their own activities
Good practice
- Log activity as you go (or use the timer) so weekly hours and insights are accurate
- Attach a project where relevant so reporting rolls up correctly
- Clear or complete attention items so your feed reflects real outstanding work
