Creating Offboarding Templates

Checklists built around the same five exit stages every departure moves through.

Creating Offboarding Templates

Offboarding is included on Professional and Enterprise full-suite agreements.

The five fixed exit stages: every offboarding moves through the same sequence, notice period, knowledge transfer, access revocation, asset return, and farewell. Templates hang their tasks off these stages rather than a free-form list, so nothing about the order is left to guesswork.

Creating a template: name it, describe it, and set a category. You can also mark it for a specific exit type (voluntary or involuntary), function, country, or seniority, so an executive exit and a standard exit don't have to share one generic checklist.

Adding tasks: title, description, an owner (Employee, Manager, HR, IT, or Admin), a task type (regular or document upload), which exit stage it belongs to, and a due offset in days.

Document collection built in: document upload tasks are typed, termination letter, NDA, tax form, final pay stub, or other, so collected files are automatically categorized rather than dumped in one folder.

Template management: clone, edit, activate/deactivate, see usage counts, and bulk-assign to multiple departing employees at once.
