Mdecins Sans Frontires (MSF) is looking for a Strategic Communications Advisor (SCA) to join its Communications and Fundraising Department in Dakar, Senegal.

Key responsibilities
The SCA will:
Provide strategic advice on public positioning and communications.
Develop communication strategies, key messages and communication tools.
Produce and coordinate content including press releases, articles, social media content, Q&As and opinion pieces.
Manage media relations and support public communications.
Lead communication support during emergencies and crises.
Advise and mentor field communication teams.
Undertake field missions and support communication strategies at country level.
Contribute to communication projects across MSF.
Profile
Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Public Relations or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in journalism, communications and/or content production, preferably in the
humanitarian sector.
The ideal candidate has strong skills in strategic communication, crisis communication, media relations,
writing and content development, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluent French and English required.
MSF and/or field experience is a strong asset.
