Store Supervisor At Drinks.ng
full-time
Job Overview
As a store supervisor is responsible for shift-level execution and control within an assigned Drinks.ng retail store. The role ensures the store runs smoothly during assigned shifts through disciplined task allocation, customer service supervision, shelf availability routines, and proper shift handover. Success is measured through shift readiness and punctuality, customer service quality, task completion discipline, clean handovers, reduced in-shift incidents, and adherence to store standards and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shift huddles and allocate tasks to Store Staff (sales floor coverage, replenishment, housekeeping, queue management).
Ensure the store is ready for customers during the shift, including cleanliness, merchandising presentation, and basic safety readiness.
Monitor task completion and enforce standards in real time, correcting gaps immediately rather than allowing drift.
Supervise customer service quality and ensure Store Staff are professional, responsive, and policy compliant.
Handle first-level escalations from customers and escalate complex issues to the Store Manager with clear facts and evidence.
Maintain a visible service culture, especially during peak periods, ensuring queues are managed and customers are supported.
Ensure shelves are replenished during the shift and that key products are visible and available to customers.
Enforce storage and handling discipline during in-shift stock movement (no off-system movement; follow approved store routines).
Report stock gaps, damages, or discrepancies promptly to the Store Manager with supporting evidence where applicable.
Ensure campaign materials and merchandising instructions are implemented correctly during the shift and maintained throughout the day.
Enforce the rule that the store does not display unapproved promo/price signage or conduct unapproved discounts.
Complete shift handover checklists, clearly documenting open issues, pending customer matters, and stock-related exceptions.
Maintain basic shift logs (incidents, customer issues, staffing issues) and ensure records are retrievable.
Escalate safety issues, suspected theft/shrinkage, and serious incidents immediately via the defined route.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a secondary school certificate; additional education in retail, business, or operations is an advantage.
3+ years' experience in retail or customer-facing operations, including acting as a team lead or senior store staff.
Experience supervising shift execution and basic store routines is strongly preferred.
Basic record-keeping skills (checklists, logs, simple trackers) and comfort using POS tools where relevant.
Team-oriented and able to motivate staff to deliver consistently during shifts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
