Job Functions

  • Responsible for leading and optimizing the organization's procurement processes.
  • This role combines technical expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services.
  • The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving cost savings, mitigating risks, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the procurement function.

Key Performance Areas:

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to secure cost-effective and high-quality goods and services.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, payment, and delivery terms.
  • Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to address contractual issues and ensure contract adherence.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize performance, quality, and delivery.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers, fostering a competitive and diverse supplier base.

Cost Management:

  • Implement cost management strategies to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for procurement decisions, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to anticipate and mitigate cost fluctuations.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify and assess risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions and supplier financial stability.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the continuity of supply.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve potential risks.

Procurement Policies and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with established procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to address any compliance issues.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze procurement trends, supplier performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the logistics
  • Proven experience in procurement and strategic sourcing.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and data analytics tools.
