The Solar Installer will install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar power systems for residential and commercial clients, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Daily activities include site assessments, mounting panels, wiring inverters and batteries, testing system performance, and performing routine inspections. The role also involves collaborating with team members, explaining system usage to customers, and completing installation reports and documentation. The Solar Installer will follow all safety standards, use appropriate tools and equipment, and support continuous improvements in installation practices.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of solar power and solar systems, including basic electrical principles and system components.
Hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in construction or technical environments.
Exposure to or experience in the solar industry, renewable energy projects, or related technical fields.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving system issues.
Physical ability to work at heights, lift equipment, and perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication skills for working with team members and explaining systems to customers.
Relevant technical certification or vocational training in electrical, solar, or engineering fields is an advantage.
