Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership across workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, HR compliance, culture, HR systems, and total rewards.
  • The role will partner with senior leadership to support organisational growth, strengthen people processes, manage HR risks, and build a high-performing workforce across ACE Group and its affiliated entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR, workforce, and talent strategies aligned with organisational growth.
  • Advise senior leadership on organisational structure, workforce planning, succession, headcount, and people-related risks.
  • Lead recruitment strategy, talent pipelines, job description standards, screening, and interview processes.
  • Manage the performance management, talent review, succession, and employee development frameworks.
  • Oversee complex employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) processes.
  • Drive employee engagement, organisational culture, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, contracts, documentation, and compliance processes in line with Nigerian labour laws.
  • Lead HR systems, workforce analytics, and reporting, providing insights to support management decisions.
  • Support compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategy.
  • Ensure HR processes and records remain compliant, consistent, and audit-ready.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' HR experience, including at least 2 years in a strategic or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, and HR strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour law, HR compliance, employee relations, and HR risk management.
  • Experience developing HR policies and performance management frameworks.
  • Strong judgement, communication, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS, HR analytics, and workforce reporting.
  • CIPM, CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in NGOs, consulting, donor-funded, multinational, or multi-entity organisations.
  • Experience managing HR during organisational growth or scale-up.
  • Experience with compensation and total rewards frameworks and HRIS implementation.
