About the Role

  • The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of financial modeling and the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
  • The financial manager will be responsible for managing and handling the financial activities and reports of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and present insights to the executive team.
  • Strategic Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for expansion or cost-saving.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee accounting/accounts payable/receivable teams and foster a culture of professional development.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage investment strategies to optimize company capital.
  • Developing long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives and market trends

Qualification & Experience:

  • 6+ years' experience working in a bank or financial institution as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
  • Relevant professional qualification in ICAN, CFA, ACCA
  • Must be currently working with a Financial or Banking Institution
  • BankOne Accounting Software knowledge is mandatory
  • A master's degree in Accounting or finance is an added advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a 2:1
  • Experience in building and maintaining financial models and driving business decision support
  • Advance level of business and commercial acumen
  • A proven track record of using data to solve complex business problems.
  • Sound financial presentation method.
  • Experience in preparing professional reports and presentation
