Responsibilities

Mobilize communities and identify participants for project activities.

Support participant selection and profiling with Agriculture Officer.

Sensitize communities on climatesmart agriculture practices.

Conduct technical training on enterprise selection and CSA.

Establish block/cluster gardens and household permagardens.

Conduct household visits and act as liaison with stakeholders.

Mobilize communities for environmental restoration activities.

Facilitate community meetings, workshops and awareness campaigns.

Strengthen community ownership of environmental initiatives.Environmental Awareness & Capacity Building

Deliver training on ecosystem restoration and sustainable resource use.

Promote environmentally friendly practices (recycling, composting, water conservation).

Mentor community environmental champions.

Collaborate with schools and institutions on environmental education.Project Implementation Support

Participate in distribution of project inputs (cash transfers, agro/business materials).

Assist in planning and executing CSA activities (GAP, pest management, soil conservation).

Ensure timely delivery of materials and monitor participation.Stakeholder Collaboration

Represent DRC in district and settlement coordination meetings.

Build relationships with local leaders, government, NGOs and partners.

Collaborate with CSA partner staff to enhance resilience and food security.

Represent DRC in local agriculture forums and events.Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

Participate in monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

Collect and report data on outcomes and community participation.

Prepare updates, success stories and lessons learned.

Submit accurate data to M&E for (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});reporting.

Participate in quarterly OPM and District monitoring reviews.Reporting

Provide project data for donor reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Adhere to DRC’s Code of Conduct.RequirementsEducation

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Community Development or related field.Experience

2 years for Bachelor’s holders 5 years for Diploma holders.

Experience working with refugees and host communities.

Experience in ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation and natural resource management.

Experience managing workforce and community members.Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical, communication and reportwriting skills.

Ability to work independently and conduct practical demonstrations.

Knowledge of local context including market systems, CSA and gender inclusion.

Competent motorcycle riding skills with valid license.

Full professional proficiency in English.Desirable
