Role Summary

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of high-value construction projects, ensuring performance in time, cost, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, advanced planning and reporting skills, sound knowledge of construction contracts (including JCT and related contract forms), and the ability to confidently represent Management in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of construction projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project, including critical path analysis, resource planning, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards, recovery plans, and management updates.
  • Administer project contracts, variations, extensions of time, notices, and other contractual obligations in line with JCT and applicable contract conditions.
  • Coordinate Site Engineers, Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, HSE, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, procurement, and cost performance, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Lead client, consultant, and progress meetings, and professionally represent Ucalux in all project-related engagements.
  • Identify project risks, delays, claims, and technical issues, and drive timely resolution and mitigation actions.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years' experience managing medium- to large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts, variations, claims, and construction contract administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project is mandatory.
  • Strong reporting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage clients and consultants at management level.
  • Professional certifications such as COREN, PMP, NIOB, NIQS, is required
