About the Role

  • IPMC is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead the development and management of its digital and data-services capabilities.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the technology direction of the business, overseeing the development of secure and scalable digital platforms, and ensuring that technology supports the company's commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead software engineering, platform development, data infrastructure and cybersecurity activities.
  • Oversee the design, development and maintenance of secure web-based applications and internal digital systems.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are scalable, reliable and responsive to evolving business requirements.
  • Establish appropriate database, cloud, backup and disaster-recovery arrangements. Oversee the integration of approved third-party systems, data sources and APIs. Implement strong user-access, information-security and data-protection controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant technology experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing enterprise web applications or digital platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing development teams, consultants and technology vendors.
  • Strong project-management, problem-solving and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Experience within financial services, data services, technology, research or professional services will be an advantage.
