Job Summary

  • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership for the organization, overseeing all aspects of financial management, investment planning, capital raising, treasury operations, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • The CFO will play a critical role in driving profitability, optimizing project financing structures, supporting business expansion, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the company's real estate development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Management Team and Board.
  • Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project profitability, cash flow performance, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies for new developments and expansion projects.
  • Establish key financial performance indicators and reporting dashboards.

Real Estate Project Finance & Investment Management:

  • Structure project financing arrangements for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure developments.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, joint ventures, and development partnerships.
  • Lead financial due diligence activities for acquisitions and strategic investments.
  • Monitor project funding requirements and financial performance throughout the development lifecycle.

Treasury & Capital Management:

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital requirements.
  • Establish relationships with banks, investors, private equity firms, and financial institutions.
  • Lead debt financing, refinancing, and capital-raising initiatives.
  • Optimize capital structure to support growth and profitability.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Present financial reports and performance updates to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and investment risks.
  • Implement enterprise-wide risk management strategies.
  • Strengthen internal controls, audit processes, and fraud prevention measures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee corporate tax planning and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and external consultants.
  • Develop strategies to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor finance, accounting, treasury, and procurement teams.
  • Build a high-performance finance function.
  • Establish succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience.
  • At least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or investment sectors.
  • Strong experience in project finance, investment analysis, and capital raising.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, financial modeling, taxation, and corporate finance.
