  • Maintain documentation of key financial processes, risks, controls and control owners.
  • Ensure key financial controls are performed and evidenced on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct regular testing and monitoring of control effectiveness.

  • Support continuous strengthening of the Bank's financial control environment.

Group & Management Reporting:

  • Support the preparation and review of regular Group reporting packages.
  • Ensure consistency between statutory accounts, management accounts, regulatory reporting and Group reporting.
  • Maintain appropriate reporting controls, supporting schedules and audit trails.
  • Provide analytical support to the Head of Finance on material accounting, reporting and control matters.

Finance Operations & Process Improvement:

  • Provide senior-level support to Finance operational activities, particularly during periods of intensive audit and regulatory activity.
  • Review existing Finance processes and identify opportunities for simplification, automation and stronger controls.
  • Improve the quality and timeliness of reconciliations and financial close processes.
  • Reduce dependence on manual spreadsheets and manual interventions.
  • Establish clear process ownership, documentation and control standards across Finance.
  • Work with Technology, Operations, Risk and other functions to resolve systemic Finance and control issues.

ERP & Finance Transformation:

  • Play a leading Finance role in the selection and implementation of an ERP/financial management system.
  • Document Finance business and control requirements for the ERP.
  • Support process redesign, data migration, testing, reconciliation and implementation.
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls and segregation of duties are embedded into the system design.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations, reporting, consolidation and control monitoring.
  • Support the CFO in developing a scalable Finance operating model as the Bank expands its products and Group activities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent recognized professional accounting qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 - 12 years' relevant experience in audit, financial control, accounting or financial reporting.
