Key Responsibilities

Manage HR correspondences (recommendations, bank letters, certificates of service).

Support staff with leave planning and ensure compliance.

Coordinate with IT for staff email accounts and access.

Maintain uptodate staff records and documentation.

Manage staff clearance processes and terminal benefits.

Prepare and track offer letters and contracts.

Walk staff through benefits packages and oversee administration.Recruitment & Selection

Initiate and coordinate recruitment requests with hiring managers.

Prepare and post job advertisements across appropriate channels.

Maintain recruitment resource database and share updates.

Conduct mandatory recruitment checks (references, background, etc.).Payroll & Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with Uganda’s Employment Act and HR best practices.

Liaise with Labour Attorney and government bodies as needed.

Collate and share monthly payroll updates with finance.

Resolve payroll queries confidentially.Performance Management

Coordinate timely performance appraisals and maintain PME database.

Liaise with supervisors to ensure evaluations are completed and consistent.

Collate training needs and capture them in annual learning plans.Health Insurance Management

Coordinate national staff health insurance scheme.

Ensure staff and dependents are registered and coverage is monitored.

Liaise with providers to resolve service issues.

Manage additions/deletions to insurance policies and follow up on claims.Exit Management (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});

Process termination paperwork and notices.

Track clearance and terminal benefit payments.

Conduct exit interviews and capture data for organisational learning.

Remove departing staff from insurance schemes and collect IDs/cards.Employee Relations & Staff Wellbeing

Monitor and advise on disciplinary matters per policy and labour law.

Reinforce staff complaint mechanisms with fair and confidential processes.

Mediate conflicts and grievances.

Identify opportunities to enhance employee experience and wellbeing.Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field (Postgraduate Diploma an advantage).

Minimum 5 years’ HR experience in a generalist role.

Experience in fastpaced, changing environments.

Knowledge of Uganda Employment laws, statutory and tax requirements.

Proven skills in HR administration, recruitment, payroll, and employee relations.

Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organisational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership and coaching abilities.
