Navigate to Team (sometimes labeled Team management, Company team, or My team depending on your role) from the dashboard to manage members.

Adding team members

  • Click Add team member (or equivalent)
  • Enter first name, last name, and email
  • Select a role: Admin, Manager, HR, or Employee
  • Assign job title and department
  • Optionally set a reporting manager (needed for manager workflows and hierarchy)
  • Add a personal message to the invitation email
  • Send the invitation

Invitees receive email instructions to join your organization.

How roles differ (product behavior) Access is filtered by role and by what your organization's package includes. The notes below assume the relevant module is enabled.

  • Admin: Full administration of users and Organization settings. Sees company-wide Job Listings, onboarding, performance, engagement, time off, activities, compensation, succession, offboarding, Reports, and Organizational Stories when entitled.
  • HR: Runs the same HR operations and Reports as Admin for entitled modules, but cannot open Organization settings (company profile, departments, org-wide policy tabs remain with Admin).
  • Manager: Uses Dashboard and, when they have direct reports, Team areas (for example team time off, team performance, team development, team compensation) plus personal My … pages. Does not get the Admin/HR Job Listings sidebar entry; hiring is usually owned by Admin/HR.
  • Employee: Uses Dashboard and My … pages (time off, reviews, development, etc.) for entitled modules only.

Compensation (when the module is on)

  • Admin and HR: Cycles, salary bands, proposals for any employee, budgets, market data import, audit logs, export.
  • Manager: Create or edit proposals for direct reports, view planning workspace and compa-ratio for the team (read-only where applicable); cannot own org-wide cycle/band administration.
  • Employee: Personal compensation via My compensation and read-only context in the main compensation area where applicable.

Managing team members

  • Edit profile, role, department, or reporting manager
  • Deactivate members who leave
  • Review activity where your role allows
