Job Purpose

  • The Utility Technician is to take charge of utility equipment and operations, ensure adequate support to the production operation and that equipment are working optimally.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of an HND (Upper Credit) in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field).
  • 3-5 years engineering utilities experience in an FMCG/ processing plant.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Candidate must reside around Magboro or its environs.
  • Age Requirement: 28 - 35 Years.

Requirements:

  • He/ she must be able to take responsibility of utility operations - ensuring smooth run, to deliver the right efficiency levels.
  • He/ she should be able to leverage the combination of troubleshooting skills along mechanical, electrical, and general engineering skills to operate, monitor, maintain, report & sustain onsite utilities.
  • Ability to work, trouble shoot as well as perform route interventions on process cold water chillers, Air compressors, nitrogen generators, extractors, Air-conditioners, extractions systems etc will be a plus.
  • Good knowledge and experience working on HVAC, Plumbing, extraction/ventilation, and Fire suppression system and operations.
  • Should be knowledgeable in the use of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be able to synergize with other departments to achieve set goals. Accountability for assigned works with attention to detail is a must have.
  • Be a champion of Safety for self, others, equipment, and general workplace.
