Uav Composite Manufacturing Technician (composite Technician) At Uniccon Group

Core Purpose:

• To physically fabricate, cure, assemble, and repair lightweight composite airframe structures, turning technical engineering designs into flight-ready UAV components.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Composite Fabrication: Prepare molds (release agents, surface prep), execute wet or prepreg carbon fiber and fiberglass layups, integrate core materials (foam, honeycomb), handle resins, manage vacuum bagging, oversee curing (oven/autoclave), demold, trim, and perform basic non-destructive testing (tap tests).
• Airframe Assembly: Bond structural parts, assemble major airframe sections (fuselage halves, wings, tails), install hardpoints/fittings, perform jig-based alignments, execute structural repairs, and support prototype modifications.
• Tooling & Fixtures: Construct, modify, and maintain basic workshop molds, jigs, and fixtures to streamline assembly and improve production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with carbon fiber, fiberglass, resins, vacuum bagging systems, and precision mold preparation.
• Manufacturing Literacy: Ability to work with jig-based alignment setups, structural bonding adhesives, and basic shop tools for trimming and finishing.
• Competencies & Mindset: High craftsmanship, attention to structural detail, manual dexterity, and practical problem-solving for prototype rework and fabrication.
