The Technical Drawing Teacher is responsible for teaching students the principles and techniques of technical drawing, design, and drafting. The teacher will equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for engineering, architecture, and technology-related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver technical drawing lessons in line with the curriculum.
Teach freehand sketching, orthographic projection, geometrical constructions, and design principles.
Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
Assess students through assignments, practical exercises, projects, and examinations.
Maintain records of students' progress and performance.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of drawing equipment and materials.
Encourage creativity, precision, and innovation among students.
Integrate computer-aided design tools where applicable.
Supervise practical sessions and classroom activities.
Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school programs.
Promote discipline and adherence to school policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Technical Education, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
Professional teaching qualification will be an added advantage.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Proficiency in technical drawing techniques and related software.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
