Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Officer to manage the day-to-day activities of the store, ensuring proper receipt, storage, documentation, issuance, and reconciliation of inventory.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure that stock is properly accounted for, stored safely, and readily available when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods and materials.
  • Ensure all received items correspond with approved purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Properly arrange and store products to ensure easy identification and accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock movements.
  • Issue stock to authorized departments, branches, or personnel based on approved requests.
  • Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Store Issue Vouchers, and other relevant store documentation.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, or excesses.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the Store/Warehouse Manager when replenishment is required.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of consumer electronics and other products.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization within the store.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, or expired stock and report accordingly.
  • Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all stock transfers and movements.
  • Assist with periodic stock-taking and inventory audits.
  • Maintain proper filing of all store and inventory documents.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse teams regarding stock-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Operate inventory management systems or ERP software to record and track stock transactions.
  • Prepare regular stock reports for management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store/Warehouse Manager.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in stores, inventory management, warehousing, or a related role.
  • Experience in a retail or consumer electronics environment is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of inventory control and stock management procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Female is prefered (for gender balance).
