To lead and manage the Spare Parts Store by ensuring the effective planning, control, and optimization of spare parts inventory, maintaining accurate records and system transactions, supporting maintenance reliability through the availability of critical spares, and ensuring compliance with HSE, GMP, 5S, and operational standards.
- Manage end-to-end spare parts inventory activities, including receiving, identification, storage, issuance, and documentation of engineering spares.
- Monitor consumption trends and inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure the availability of critical spare parts for preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Implement inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock audits, bin location verification, and variance reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate spare parts records, equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs), codification systems, and master data within the ERP/CMMS platform.
- Ensure proper storage, preservation, and handling of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Possess strong knowledge of engineering spare parts, maintenance systems, and technical store operations.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of inventory management principles, stock forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques.
- Be proficient in the use of ERP and CMMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Inventory Management, CIPS, CIPSMN, or a related professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience managing technical or engineering stores within a manufacturing, industrial, or process environment.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, spare parts planning, and warehouse operations.
