This is a full-time, on-site Solar Sales Executive role based in Lagos. The Solar Sales Executive will identify and qualify prospective clients in residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural segments, and present tailored solar and energy storage solutions that address their power needs.
The role involves conducting site assessments, preparing proposals and quotations, delivering product demonstrations, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation to closing. The Solar Sales Executive will maintain relationships with existing customers, follow up on installations and system performance, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate solution design and smooth project delivery.
The role also includes preparing periodic sales reports, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and contributing to marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives to grow Toyomax's customer base.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in sales prospecting, lead qualification, customer relationship management, and closing business deals in B2B and/or B2C environments.
Experience in solution selling, needs analysis, and proposal development for technical products or services, preferably within solar, renewable energy, or power systems.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Basic understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and backup power solutions, or willingness to learn quickly and work closely with technical teams.
Proficiency in using CRM tools, productivity software (e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace), and digital communication platforms for reporting and client follow-up.
Proven ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant academic background in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in energy or technology sales is highly valued.
Familiarity with the Nigerian power landscape and Lagos market dynamics, including challenges with grid reliability and diesel dependence, is a strong advantage.
