Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HR strategy, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HR policies, compliance, and other people-related initiatives that support the Bank's growth and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and people-management strategies.
Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes and workplace grievances.
Drive performance management, appraisal and employee engagement initiatives.
Identify training needs and coordinate staff training and development programmes.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper HR documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations and internal policies.
Advise management on employee-related matters and support effective decision-making.
Develop and monitor HR metrics, reports and workforce-related data.
Support organisational culture, staff retention and employee welfare initiatives.
Manage payroll inputs, leave administration and other HR operations where applicable.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior HR/administrative staff.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's Degree/HND in human resources, industrial relations, business administration, management, psychology or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant HR experience, preferably within a microfinance bank,commercial bank, financial institution or other regulated organization.
Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI or equivalentis an advantage, and an MSc in related fields
Strong knowledge of Nigerian employment practices and HR compliance.
Demonstrable experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and training.
Experience working with HR policies, documentation and HR reporting.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the Anambra business/workforce environment and languages is an advantage.
