Analyse, troubleshoot, and improve existing inverter hardware and power electronics designs.
Design, review, and optimise power stages, control boards, protection circuits, power supplies, sensing circuits, and communication interfaces.
Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, component selections, and technical proposals from R&D and manufacturing partners.
Identify root causes of hardware failures and recommend effective corrective and preventive solutions.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, debugging, and product improvement from concept to production.
Evaluate and challenge technical recommendations from the China R&D team using engineering calculations, testing, simulations, and practical experience.
Work with China-based engineers to translate market requirements and customer feedback into technical product improvements.
Benchmark inverter products against competitors and identify opportunities for technical differentiation, cost reduction, and improved performance.
Develop and implement hardware testing procedures covering electrical, thermal, load, protection, reliability, and performance testing.
Train and mentor local engineers in power electronics, inverter hardware, PCB design, troubleshooting, testing, and failure analysis.
Build internal capability for future inverter circuit and PCB design.
Prepare technical documentation, design standards, test reports, and training materials.
Support the development of the company's long-term inverter technology and product roadmap.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
5 - 10+ years of practical R&D experience in power electronics, preferably involving inverters, UPS, solar systems, battery energy storage, motor drives, or similar power-conversion products.
Strong hands-on knowledge of power electronics and inverter architecture.
Proven experience in PCB schematic design, circuit debugging, component selection, and hardware development.
