We are recruiting an experienced Senior Cost & General Ledger Accountant for a large-scale FMCG manufacturing project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing the factory's costing and general ledger functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, inventory valuation, budget control, and compliance with statutory and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage product costing, standard costing, BOM costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger and balance sheet accounts.
Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and production variances.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
Partner with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to improve financial performance.
Support internal and external audit activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification is required.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
Proven hands-on experience in manufacturing cost accounting and General Ledger accounting.
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, production costing, variance analysis, and factory overhead allocation.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
