The Sales Officer - Fixed Line is a high-energy, frontline sales role focused on customer acquisition, relationship management, and revenue retention within designated residential estates and commercial clusters.
The role is 100% direct field sales, requiring extensive door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, territory mapping, customer acquisition, payment collection, onboarding, and customer follow-up. The successful candidate must be an aggressive self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a field environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct extensive daily cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, territory mapping, and cluster marketing within assigned residential estates and commercial areas.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent lead generation and customer acquisition.
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospect identification and product pitching to CAF sign-up, payment collection, onboarding, and installation coordination.
Explain product offerings clearly and convert prospects into paying customers.
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth and timely broadband installation for new customers.
Build and maintain relationships with Estate Facility Managers and key community stakeholders to secure access for marketing activations and customer acquisition.
Identify, appoint, and manage Sub-Sales Agents (SSAs) to expand lead generation and sales coverage within assigned territories.
Serve as the first point of contact for onboarded customers and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.
Liaise with Customer Care to facilitate data recharges, complaint resolution, and customer support, helping to minimise churn.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing/tariff changes, service availability, and downtime within the assigned territory.
Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and pipeline records.
Submit daily sales reports, pipeline updates, and territory activity reports to the ASM.
Consistently achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales and revenue targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
2 - 3 years of proven frontline field-sales experience in Nigeria.
Must have hands-on experience in direct field sales, door-to-door selling, cold calling, territory/cluster marketing, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
ISP and Telecom experience is an added advantage
Candidates whose experience is primarily retail counter sales, telesales, call centre sales, or office-based sales will not be considered.
Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, conversion, payment collection, onboarding, and customer follow-up.
Strong knowledge of residential estates and business clusters on Lagos Island is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to work with estate managers, community stakeholders, agents, and other local contacts to generate sales opportunities.
