The OIM is in ultimate command of the vessel and is the designated Person in Charge (PIC) under IMO protocol.
He/she is responsible for supporting vessel operations, for the safety of all on board personnel, the protection of the environment and the preservation of the vessel and all assets
Command experience as a vessel Master on unlimited tonnage vessels.
Experience in the use of on-board stability program, plus 12 years experience.
Other Requirements:
Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), West African Examinations Council (WAEC), or GCE O'Level.
OND (Ordinary National Diploma) is equivalent to a 2-year Associate Degree in the United States, while HND or B.Sc. is equivalent to a 4-year Degree (at least 120 credits / units).
Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria.
Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written.
