Research And Development Officer At Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited

ROLE SUMMARY

The role is responsible for assisting the Research and development team in operational activities involved in new product development and or reformulation of existing product. It also involves carrying out the details of the technical requirements in pilot formulation and or rework processing procedure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute processing details for formulation development of oral solid, oral liquid and topicals.
• Execute pre-formulation studies for formulation development.
• Initiate stability studies for new and existing products
• Withdraw and transfer stability samples withdrawn to relevant units' laboratories.
• Follow up with collation of stability result from QC, IPC and Microbiologist.
• Characterization of innovator/reference brands.
• Carry out laboratory trials for reformulation of existing products.
• Follow up on quality control analysis for new product trials.
• Prepare relevant technical document related to formulation development.
• Other duties as may be required in line with departmental objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in any Science related discipline (Chemistry-Based).
• Minimum of three (4) years in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Understanding of the Chemistry of API and excipients.
• Understanding Validation, qualification and technology transfer.

• Literature review: Familiarity with scientific literature and ability to stay up-to -date with the latest developments in pharmaceutical formulation.

• Time Management: Effective time management to balance formulation development, testing, and documentation.
