We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support our property and construction-related operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, valuation, and financial control across property development, renovation, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), budgets, and project cost plans.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works.
  • Prepare and review tender documents and contractor quotations.
  • Evaluate bids and provide recommendations on contractor selection.
  • Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
  • Review variations, claims, and additional works and assess their financial implications.
  • Conduct market research on construction materials, labour, and service costs.
  • Support procurement and negotiation with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work completed and materials used.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, property managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project cost records and financial documentation.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and provide management with updates on project financial performance.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Carry out any other duties relevant to quantity surveying and property development as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years\' relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, property development, or a related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction measurement, costing, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.
  • Experience working with contractors and construction suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, labour costs, and market pricing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cost discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously.
  • Professional certification/membership such as QSRBN or NIQS will be an advantage.
