The QC Supervisor will oversee mechanical inspection activities for piping and pipeline construction and prepare quality/inspection test plans in line with construction activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Good knowledge of Engineering, manufacturing, and Construction for Oil and gas equipment, piping and pipeline construction
Indepth knowledge of codes i.e API 1104/ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec V.
Prepare and verify tests, controls and inspections are carried out according to the quality control plan, inspection test plan and mechanical completion approval.
Ensure appropriate QA/QC standards, procedures and specifications are inplace during the construction/execution activities.
Verify that material and equipment are correctly received (incoming material inspection), stored, preserved, calibrated, handled, identified and traceable.
In-depth knowledge of pipeline welding for review and preparation of welder and welding procedure qualification.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related course.
Minimum of 8 - 10 years quality control (QC) experience, especially in gas/crude pipeline projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
