About the Role

  • The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes across construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved standards, specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while driving continuous quality improvement throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.
  • Conduct inspections and quality audits on construction activities, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and verify testing activities, ensuring proper documentation of test results and inspection records.
  • Review construction processes and identify quality risks, recommending corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, quality records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action reports (CARs).
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits by clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide quality-related training, guidance, and support to project personnel and site teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven QA/QC experience within the construction industry, particularly on infrastructure, road, bridge, and building projects.
  • Professional certification in Quality Management or Quality Assurance/Quality Control is mandatory (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certification, CQI/IRCA, or equivalent).
  • Membership of relevant engineering and professional bodies is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, construction standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, testing verification, and non-conformance management.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC documentation and reporting systems.
