This is a full-time, on-site Public Speaking and Elocution Teacher role based at the LBIS Ibadan campus. The teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop learners' speaking clarity, pronunciation, confidence, and presentation skills across different age groups. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching individual and group sessions, organizing practice activities such as debates, speeches, and performances, and assessing learner progress through formal and informal evaluations. The role involves collaborating with other teachers to integrate public speaking and elocution into broader school programs and events, providing feedback and coaching to learners, and maintaining accurate records of performance and attendance. The teacher will also support school activities, clubs, and competitions that promote communication skills and leadership.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Training skills, with experience facilitating public speaking, elocution, or related communication-focused classes.
Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Education skills, including the ability to design structured, age-appropriate curricula and learning materials.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken English, active listening, and the ability to give constructive feedback.
Relevant qualifications in Education, English, Theatre Arts, Communications, or a related field are beneficial.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or training environment is preferred.
Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and builds confidence.
Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and willingness to collaborate with colleagues and guardians.
Familiarity with the British Curriculum or similar
