We are seeking an organised and results-driven Project Zonal Coordinator to coordinate and monitor project activities within an assigned geopolitical zone.
The Project Zonal Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for project activities within the assigned geopolitical zone. The role will involve coordinating and supervising Field Agents/Data Officers, monitoring field activities and data collection, ensuring data quality and timely submissions, tracking project deliverables, preparing periodic reports and escalating operational issues to the Project Lead.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with field teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure that project activities within the assigned zone are delivered effectively and within agreed timelines.
Candidates must be residents of Lagos or have strong operational familiarity with the geopolitical zone to which they are applying, and must be willing to travel within the assigned zone when required.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise Field Agents/Data Officers within the assigned geopolitical zone
Plan and monitor weekly field activities to ensure timely project execution
Monitor data collection, validation and submission activities across assigned locations
Review submitted data and identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent or potentially inaccurate records.
Track corrections and resubmissions to support data quality and completeness.
Maintain accurate trackers for field activities, submissions, corrections and outstanding actions.
Monitor field team performance and follow up on delays, gaps and operational challenges.
Conduct or coordinate weekly zonal meetings and provide updates to the Project Lead.
Prepare weekly progress reports, data-quality reports and other project reports as required.
Provide basic operational support to Field Agents/Data Officers and escalate technical issues requiring specialised intervention.
Support communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders and institutions within the assigned zone.
Monitor project milestones and ensure assigned activities and deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
Identify emerging risks or operational challenges and escalate them promptly.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and ensure responsible handling of project and personal data.
Support other project activities reasonably related to the role as assigned by the Project Lead.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's degree or HND in Project Management, Business Administration, Data Management, Statistics, Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline
1 - 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, research, data collection, data management, administration, team supervision, field operations or a related role
Proven experience coordinating teams, field activities or multi-location projects
Experience with data collection, validation, reporting or quality assurance is an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel.
Experience working on technology, data collection or institutional projects is an added advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently, take ownership and meet deadlines.
Must be willing and able to travel when necessary.
